How does the online course work?
You work through eight modules of video demonstrations, written lessons and practical exercises in the online course player. Study at your own pace and submit seven marked tasks for instructor review. Each task includes a clear brief, evidence checklist and assessment criteria.
How long do I have to complete it?
You have two years of course access. Plan a study routine that fits your schedule and allows time to practise and revisit the techniques.
Are there live classes or assessed assignments?
There are no scheduled classes or live meetings. The seven marked tasks cover preparation and safety, injury effects, wound effects, screen aging, prosthetic application, bald caps and a final character project. You receive personal feedback and a result of “Meets criteria” or “Revision needed”, with one resubmission included for each assessed task. Other exercises support independent practice.
What supplies will I need?
You will need SFX materials and tools to complete the practical exercises. Our curated Special FX Makeup Kit is available to purchase separately. View the product page for kit details and pricing. Brands may vary between kits.
